This was
my first-ever Ass Ponys performance. I listened to them for about 4 years
previous, and had elevated them to star status in my own mind. To say I
was excited about finally seeing them live is saying less than truth. The
show was their 'kick-off' party for their then new release "Some
Stupid..." I expected more concerning the venue, but it turned out
great. I was thrilled to meet a taper who had set up in front of the
stage, and obtained a decent copy of the show. We rapped with the band for
quite a while after the show, and ended up on first-name keels with the
band. So much for my inflated star image of the APs. They're ordinary
people, albeit extremely talented and entertaining.... |
